November is dedicated to monitoring and ensuring compliance with statutory duties. Supporting Governors to publish compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty. Comparing attainment data and identifying CPD for Governors are crucial tasks. Additionally, subject leaders are reminded to monitor SEND within their areas, and a celebration newsletter helps develop a positive community between parents, carers and school.

SENDCO Calendar Activities For The Month
November
- Support Governors to identify and publish compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty.
- In Key Stage 1, compare attainments and progress of pupils with SEND in the Phonic Screening and end of Key Stage 1 results with those nationally and report outcomes to Governing Body so that the data can be interrogated.
- Identify SEND specific CPD for Governors and plan.
- Liaise with and remind subject/middle leaders to specifically monitor SEND in their area of responsibility and report back key findings.
- Write and publish a SEND celebration newsletter for parents and caregivers.
